Certain stars make special connections with special groups of people. That is how they become icons
In this video, we have a birdseye view of Cyndi Lauper having a serious and political lovefest with thousands of her gay fans.
Sharing both love and trust, Cyndi sits on the edge of the stage and lets her fans press in around her. She even asks a lesbian mother about whether her small child (sitting on the edge of the stage) sleeps through the night.
After urging all to keep up their fight for equality, she exits with bouquet.

Cool, your videos are on your site!
Love Cindi!
Sometimes, comments you get in emails really should be shared. this is a very special one from the son-in-law I have in my extended gay family. Willie, his lover who died of AIDS, was like a son to me for over a decade:

I had the wonderful experience of fixing Cindy's breakfast for a couple of days while she stayed at the hotel I was working at in Baltimore. She likes to sleep in and wanted breakfast after we usually stopped serving it. I was more than happy to oblige her, and consequently she asked to meet me. What a wonderful, warm person. She asked about my partner (Willie, of course), and when I told her he was sick, she was so honest and caring. So, I have had a 'love-fest" for Ms. Lauper for a long, long time now. Funny how things happen, ain't it?
love,
Bob
What an amazing video. I don't know a lot of singers who would get quite up that close and personal. She looks like a special person.
