WOMAN CALLS COPS ON VLOGGER (Randy Wicker Reporting) Videobloggingweek2006

Watch the video

Slimy functionaries hide their faces from my camera's "eye of truth".  They desperately call the cops & tremble before the "power of vlog"!

Don't these characters (especially the chubby fellow at the end) remind you of all those would-be apprentices fired by Donald Trump for incompetence?

They work at public opinion research but obviously know nothing about public relations.

I say: "VLOG YOU!!"

You're a better man than I am, gunga din. Definitely a good start to a week of "vlogging dangerously." I suspect I will pale in comparison!

That was truely f ing brilliant man, you captured the moment I have always liked to get and had the balls to keep the camera running even though your friend was quite obviously more than a little embarrassed. But good on you son, I really hope those corporate dingbats get to see the video, I guess they won't people like that are ignorant as to this form of citizen journalism, any other dangerous video this week shall be pale by comparison.

Randy, I've been slowly getting hooked on your blog. I love your prompt and conversational shooting style. You come across very well spoken on video, and always such interesting conversations and people.

Speaking of which... Damn, Great video, truely vlogging dangerously but completely rightous. Snubbing people from any event because they're "too old" is if not illegal, then absurd.

It makes me very happy that you stood up for yourself. Because you stood up for yourself, because you didn't just keep quite and accept them "letting you in anyway". They'll probably change their ridiculous discriminitory policy.

So where's all the info on the location and the theatre? If you're going to post stuff like this (and you should) at least let us know which theatres to boycott or whom to write a letter to in order to shame them...

DOh! I spoke to soon... there it is... AMC Theatre, 42nd & 8th, NYC. Right at the end of the video where it should be so it won't get seperated from the video.

This is btw, one of the few cases where I think a few people writing a letter could have a major impact... Now that you've done all the work that is.

A simple letter with a printed url and subject of "Re: age descrimination" would be all that is necissary. Of course when someone from AMC discovers this video these people will be lucky to keep their jobs.

I'd really love to see what happens over the long term... you know that sooner or later this video is going to find its way into the hands of the AARP or somehow get back to AMC theatres and then they're going to be REALLY sorry.

Did they actually put this age limit in print? That would really be funny... or more I should say "bold" on their part.

The whole thing about "harrasment" and threatening to cal the cops and security is an absolute absurdity as that was a public space, and indeed you had a valid concern. And yelling? Ha? I like that you're a well vocalized person.

And that dude in the suit is an smug --s. I have to give him some credit for not being as rude as the girl but... "We would have let you in if you were nice." That's the most phony line ever. If you wouldn't have raised a stink it would have been easier for them to brush you off.

BTW, two last things. I love the way you call her buff when she threatens to call cops or security, multiple times.... and the opener... was that a shooting star from infamous "the more you know" public service announcements. LOL! Awesome video!

Hi Randy,

While I don't think I would have handled it quite the same way, I'm glad you tried to stand up to these people, and I'm def glad you kept the camera rolling. Nice work.
